On International Women’s Day, March 8th, women gathered in Anse-à-Galets to march for women’s rights. While Haitian women constitutionally have the same rights as men, women still face many barriers because of their gender. Violence, lack of access to family planning, education, and gender norms continue to pose significant challenges. Building resilient communities on La Gonâve requires solidarity with women and girls.
