An Island Within An Island

Few have life vests or are able to swim. A 2 hour sail or ride on a motor boat are now their only options to travel off the island to purchase necessary goods or food or to visit family, government offices or hospitals. Previously, travel was possible on a public ferry to the mainland; now there is no operating ferry due to gangsters who await the ferry landing and along the interstate to extort for travel.
