It’s the 30th anniversary of La Gonâve Haiti Partners and we’re celebrating, virtually! Join us on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 for abbreviated, 3 hour sessions highlighting past achievements of the partnership and focusing on future initiatives.

BUILDING ON 30, PART I: FRIDAY, JULY 24 FROM 4 TO 7 PM

We will begin by reflecting on the accomplishments and the struggles over the past year by our brothers and sisters on the Haitian island of Gonâve. We will remember major milestones achieved since the partnership’s beginning in 1990. Following the financial report for 2019-2020, registrants will move into small groups to discuss future initiatives in education, healthcare, economic opportunity, and construction, including water and sanitation.

BUILDING ON 30, PART II SATURDAY: JULY 25 FROM 9 TO 12 NOON

The conference will continue with reports from the small group discussions of Friday. Next, we will take an in-depth look at the 2020-2021 budget for the partnership programs and projects. The event will end with an exploration of future opportunities of service on la Gonâve.

Once a dream … now a reality. Thanks to many of you, La Gonâve Haiti Partners was able to locate, purchase and ship a 1986 model, single-axle MACK truck to the Haitian island of Gonâve.

Transportation of equipment and supplies is very limited on la Gonâve. The roads are rocky, dusty and narrow switchbacks up and down mountainsides. The rugged MACK truck will haul sand, gravel and concrete to construction sites for building cisterns, latrines and school kitchens in remote communities.

THANK YOU for your continued support. Visit lagonavepartners.org for the latest news from la Gonâve.
