I say a big thank to you Sydney foryour words of welcome toward me. Thank you very much!
As most of you have already known, I am actually the new priest in charge of La Gonave. And the priest in charge, I wish to all of you who are involved in the La Gonave partnership, a very warm welcome. I would like to assure you my good will to continue to build with you a sustainable partnership, for the well being of the people of God living on the Island.
To tell you more about me, I am Rev, Vil Jean Madoche, from croix-des-bouquets. I was ordained to the priesthood on July, 2002, and I have just celebrated the 10th anniversary to the priesthood last July 28th 2012. I am married and father of two litte girls, whose names are Myriam (the elder) and Sephora. My wife’s name is Ketia Dorvilas Vil. I worked as priest in charge, respectively at the Epiphany at Port-au-Prince, Holly Innocents at Port-de-Paix, and the Ascension Parish, before I was assigned to st francis at La Gonave.
A lot of thanks to all of you who are involved in the La Gonave partnership for nearly 20 years I have heard so far. This is so good that you have accepted to share your time, talents and treasures with the people of La Gonave in many different aspects like education, health, social activities and so forth. So I take this opportunity to Thank every one of you who has renewed their good will to continue to work together, so that this patnership can be even stronger than before, and this also on the benefit of the people living on the Island.
I pray God to continue to assist you, to bless you abundantly and protect you, so that in every thing we can make His will.
