Programs: Education
Ten schools have been established by the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti in communities scattered across La Gonâve. A total of 165 teachers serve 2900 students from kindergarten through high school. Stateside partners provide salary support for teachers as well as tuition, uniforms and books for some of the students. They also help with construction and repairs, often building school benches and tables on mission trips.
